Program Features:

SRI-16 is a program that provides Snow, Rain and Ice loads based on ASCE 7-16.

Based on the user’s input, the program will calculate all factors and calculate final Snow, Rain or Ice loads on various structure types. The program saves the user the trouble of wading through all the charts, maps, tables and equations involved in these cumbersome calculations.

The Snow Load section of the program will provide sections to obtain and enter ground snow load, risk category, exposure category, thermal conditions etc.. The specific snow load options are for:

Roof Loads

Drift Loads

Loads on Pipes and Cable Trays

Open Frame Structures

Roof Top Projections and Parapets

Sliding Snow and Rain on Snow

The Rain Load section provides Rain Loads on roofs based on the roof drainage conditions.

The Ice Load section provides Maps to show nominal Ice thickness, Risk Factors and Exposure Categories. The program will calculate the design ice thickness and generate loads for individual members, domes or spheres and on large flat plates. The program will allow the end user to obtain ice loading on different types of members at different elevations and include all of the analysis in one report.

Output for all of the analysis will include a reference list to all sections of ASCE 7-16 that were used in the analysis.

The program will run on Windows 7, 8 and 10 operating systems.

The program help uses a PDF file. In order for the help to be viewed from the program the operating computer must be able to read a PDF file. If necessary a free adobe PDF reader may be downloaded and installed from https://get.adobe.com/reader/.
